Oddjob är, om det behöver påpekas, något helt annat. Att denna patologiskt lekfulla orkester gör en barnskiva, där en stilfull bok med illustrationer på de djur som blivit låtar på albumet bifogas, känns bara logiskt. Kvintetten droppar Jan Johansson, Georg Riedel och Jojje Wadenius som inspirationskällor, och likt somliga av dessa storheters verk är »Jazzoo« en pedagogisk, välljudande och svängig jazzintroduktion för både unga och äldre. Årets generationsöverbyggande julklapp! Extra plus för Per »Ruskträsk« Johanssons »gutturala läten« i »Flodhästen«.
